| Scope and Content Note: | The Charles Joseph Collazzo papers relate to his teaching and committee work at Northeastern University. The collection includes correspondence, student and conference papers, handwritten analyses of journal articles, reprints of articles CJC used for teaching, and government publications concerning marketing and the federal government. Also included are his papers relating to the University Graduate Council Academic Program Review Committee in 1980-1981 and materials relating to his tenure on several University Library committees. Of special interest are his research notes and copies of his marketing research study and a manuscript entitled "Recreation, Tourism and Vacationing in Eastern Massachusetts," on which CJC is listed as the Chief Investigator. The collection does not contain any papers relating to his work on feet and shoes. | ||||||||
| Historical Abstract: | Charles Joseph Collazzo (CJC) was a professor of marketing in the College of Business Administration at Northeastern University, ca. 1962-1984. He was also an alumnus of Northeastern University (College of Liberal Arts, 1943) and a World War II veteran. CJC served on many University committees, including the Graduate Council, ca. 1979-1981; the Library Operations Committee in the 1970s and 1980s; the Library Planning Committee, ca. 1980-1984; and the Search Committee for the Director and Dean of the University Libraries, 1983-1984. He was also associated with the American Footwear Industries Association, which funded the publication of several of his bibliographies. | ||||||||

Charles J. Collazzo [CJC] was a professor of marketing at the Northeastern University College of Business Administration, ca. 1962-1984. He was also an alumnus of Northeastern University, College of Liberal Arts (now College of Arts and Sciences), 1943, and a World War II veteran. CJC served on several University committees including: the Graduate Council, ca. 1979-1981; the Library Operations Committee in the 1970s and 1980s; the Library Planning Committee, ca. 1980-1984; and the Search Committee for a new Director and Dean of the University Libraries, 1983-1984. CJC was also associated with the American Footwear Industries Association, which funded the publication of several of his bibliographies, copies of which can be found in the University Libraries.
