The Everett C. Marston Papers documents the literary works of Everett C. Marston, English Professor at Northeastern University from 1927-1968. The collection consists predominantly of copies of his unpublished short stories, novels, and plays. Short stories comprise the largest part of the collection, but the also collection includes four. Three short stories were written under the pseudonym Pierce Carter: Irish Sky, the Fresh Air Cure, and the Quiet Life. Researchers should note that the dates assigned to all the works were estimates by one of Marston's daughters. The folder entitled "Literary Correspondence" includes information about Marston's attempt to get his works published, and a biographical note by the author himself. |
