The Administration Series documents the operational activities of the Boston Society of Vulcans including correspondence, monthly membership meetings, newsletters, legal activities, events, financial documents, fundraising events, publicity articles, and news clippings. The legal documents deal with many of the important changes that took place within the fire department's policies, covering affirmative action in the hiring process, upward mobility reports, charges against minority firefighters, and the Proposition 2 ½.
