Scope and Content Abstract:The Natalie Ammarell Papers document her professional career including her consulting work with Boston-based human service organizations in the early 1980's to the early 2000's. Her work included assistance in long range planning, program/project evaluation, development of fundraising strategies and strategic planning. Records consist of meeting minutes and agendas of the boards of various organizations, committee meeting notes, interviews with executive board members and managers of local organizations including the Committee for Boston Public Housing, Boston Panel of Agencies Executives, United South End Settlements, Federated Dorchester Neighborhood Houses, Solomon Carter Fuller Mental Health Center, New England Medical Center Community Planning Initiative, and WISH House. The collection also includes program, budget, and fundraising reports; evaluations; professional correspondence and newspaper clippings.
Biographical Abstract:Natalie Ammarell earned her Master's degree in Urban Affairs at Boston University in 1973 and her Ph.D. in Human and Organizational Systems at Fielding Graduate University in 1999. From 1972 to 2002, Ammarell worked as an organizational consultant with a special focus on Boston-area community-based human service organizations.
